You're Hired for Managers and Senior Managers

Get the Unfair Advantage in Your job Search

Welcome Note

Hi,

I am David Mitchell. I am the creator and presenter of this Programme – You’re Hired for Managers and Senior Managers.

My job is helping folks who have lost their jobs transition into new roles. I have been doing this for over 20 years. I understand the job market inside out!

I know exactly why you cannot find a job!

You are making the same mistakes every job seeker - whether a rookie or experienced player - makes!

Why does everybody make the same mistake?

Simply put, it is because they have never been trained how to find a job.

Folks who have been trained in job search no longer fear retrenchment or closure of the companies for whom they work. The reason is that they know they can be back at work - in most cases, in a job they prefer to the last one - within 3-4 months!

Investing in this Programme is a no-brainer. Firstly, it is risk free. If you do not believe this Programme has helped you, just let us know and you will get your money back. Every cent you have paid!

Secondly, I know it works. If you follow the steps laid out in this Programme, I can guarantee you will find a new job. Not just any job but a job that you love and that probably pays better than your last job.

Can you afford to keep making the same mistakes that have prevented you from finding a job? Of course you can't.

You can start right now by clicking on the "Enrol Button". Within minutes you will have access to "You're Hired for Managers and Senior Managers". Within weeks you will be cracking the job code, getting more interviews than you can handle and be well on your way to winning your dream job.

I look forward to working with you.

David

"You're Hired"

for

Managers and Senior Managers

This Programme is designed for all managerial and senior managerial staff who have either lost their jobs or who want to find a new job. Whilst it is primarily focused on the South African job market, one of the toughest places on earth to find a job, the principles apply to any job market anywhere in the world.
Q: What is your background and how does that qualify you to help me?
My name is David Mitchell. I have been involved in Recruitment, Executive Search and Outplacement for the past 30 years. I have built several significant businesses that have all been focused on employment. I established Deloitte’s Executive Placement business; I was a founding Director and Executive of Deloitte’s Human Capital Practice. When I left Deloittes in 2001, we employed 75 consultants and over 150 research and support staff in the Executive Placements business alone. I also established the Deloitte JIT Programme and in my final year at Deloitte, we placed over 350 recently qualified CAs around the world.
I started my own business Laser Outsourced Recruitment. It became the largest Outsourced Recruitment business in the country. I also founded Laser Search, a niche Executive Search consultancy.
I have long had an interest in Outplacement. I developed my first Outplacement Programme in the mid-90s. I re-wrote this Programme in 2008 in response to the large numbers of retrenchments caused by the Global Financial Crisis. I have continuously maintained this Programme to ensure it factored in changes and latest thinking. This year, I have again, completely re-written it to align it with the needs of an online audience.
I was contracted by DBM – the largest Outplacement Firm in the world in early 2003. I ran several significant outplacement projects on their behalf throughout Southern Africa. Six years ago I was appointed as the Managing Partner for Southern Africa of OI Global Partners (OI stands for Outplacement International). During my career in Outplacement and Career Transition, I have helped thousands of people re-launch their careers after retrenchment, dismissal and forced early retirement.
I guess with the background I have, I can say that I have a pretty good understanding of the recruitment and executive search sectors. I also have a pretty good grounding in outplacement and career transition.
And now I want to help you!
The Problem
Most folk would be grateful if they received a reply in response to a job application. Even if it was a regret letter! You see a fantastic job advertised. It would be a perfect fit for you and perfectly aligns with your career aspirations. You apply and never hear anything. It is highly frustrating, to say the least. Even if you are invited to an interview, there is a good chance that you will be unsuccessful because you have not prepared adequately.
Finding a new job is a real challenge – even if you are a highly skilled worker. The job market is so tough that even highly skilled folk battle to find jobs.
If this sounds like your job hunting experience, I can help you!
Q: Are there jobs out there?
It is not as though there are not positions being filled. Around 135 000 positions are being filled in South Africa every month. You just aren’t hearing about the majority of them. They are not advertised.
The problem is that most job seekers have no idea how to go about finding a job. They have never been trained to find a job. The only people trained in job search are those who are placed in Outplacement Programmes. This privilege is usually reserved for the most senior executives within companies when they are asked to leave a business.
“Why just the executives?” I hear you ask. The reason is that these Programmes are seriously expensive. By way of example, a senior executive placed on one of our Programmes would receive 10-12 hours of one-on-one coaching from me. This coaching is centred on how to find a job. They also have access to our Career Centre – this affords them access to some of the best information on finding a job in any market. These Programmes run from R35 000 to R80 000, depending on the seniority of the individual and the length of the Programme.
Q: Do these Programmes Work?
Absolutely! I would not still be in business if they did not. Over 95% of the executives with whom I work, find a new job within 4 months. This enables them to pump thousands of Rand from their retrenchment packages into their bonds and investments.
The issue that has worried me for years has been: What about the folk that lose their jobs that do not receive this benefit from their employer?
They have the same need to find new employment. They face the same issues as executives if they don’t find a job – they are unable to pay their bonds or rent, unable to pay their car instalments, unable to pay school fees and medical aid, unable to feed their family. And so the litany of woes goes on.
I decided to change the system. I want to help you!
I am now able to offer an on-line Programme that covers every aspect of a job search. You will learn everything and more that Outplacement companies teach their clients. In all modesty, I would say this is the finest Outplacement programme I have written. Because I have decided to put this Programme online, I have been forced to structure it far more than an in-person Programme. I have also had to provide far greater detail than I do in a one-on-one situation. Even better this Programme will cost you a fraction of the cost of a traditional Outplacement Programme.
Q: How long does it take to find a job in the current economy?
You get lies, damn lies and statistics! On average, it takes around 1 month of job search for every R80 000 of annual salary being sought. Thus a job seeker looking for a job at R800k per annum will take 10 months. Someone looking for R1.2 million will take 15 months.
Some will find a job much quicker than the statistical average. Others will take longer. Many lose heart and drop out of the job search altogether.
These statistics apply to folks who are not trained in job search.
A trained job seeker takes 3-4 months to find a job. Provided they implement what they have learned.
Q: What is the cost of being unemployment?
One of my prime motivators in developing this Programme is to save people from the trauma of forced unemployment. I have experienced this pain and I have seen others experience similar pain.
When you lose your job, you lose your income. Most retrenchment packages will only last a couple of months – one week’s salary for every year worked. This means that even if you have worked for a company for 20 years, you will get 20 weeks salary! That’s a measly 5-months!
For every month that you are unemployed, you experience a double whammy! Not only do you not have a salary coming in, but your expenses continue. So, if you were earning R100 000 per month and your living costs amounted to R80 000 a month.
Every month that passes you are worse off by about R180 000.
Not many of us can afford that level of negative cash flow. I don’t need to tell you about what happens if you cannot afford to pay your bonds, car repayments, school fees, insurances etc.
What I can tell you is that the stress such a situation imposes on you, is enormous. It also impacts on your family.
Q: Sounds Interesting. Tell me more
The reason that people struggle to find jobs is that they have never learned how to!
They put together a CV and respond to adverts. They also approach recruiters in their area and ask them for help.
When neither approach gets the desired result- a job offer, they don’t know what else to do. When they do get an interview, they do not know how to prepare. They do not know what questions will be asked nor how to answer these adequately.
In this state of ignorance, it is really hard to get a job! In fact, our stats show that you would have to apply for 600-900 jobs to statistically stand a chance of getting a job. In all my years in recruitment and search, I don’t know anyone who has even got close to that number.
The good news is that there is a better way to find a job. A much better way!
In essence, we train you in the most effective and efficient ways to find a job. Not just any job but a job to which you aspire. Your dream job!
Q: Wow. How do you do that?
Have you ever watched a really accomplished sportsperson or musician? They make everything look so easy. I recall learning to windsurf many years ago. Watching the guys who had been doing it a while, it looked so easy. Yet when I tried, I was blown to the other end of the dam and had no way of getting back. I had also fallen off so many times I was exhausted. I had to be rescued.
A few lessons and a bit of practice and I wasn’t quite a champ but I could certainly get to the end of the dam and back!
Job search is a bit like that. If you don’t know how to find a job, you will keep falling off! You may reach a low level of proficiency if you keep practising. But if you really want to improve, you need lessons. These are the lessons you need to look like a Pro in the job search market. You will learn all the tools and tricks of the trade that will enable you to navigate the job market.
There is another factor. Most folks I speak to, hate their jobs. The last thing I want is for you to find a new job and then you discover you are another square peg in a round hole. One of the first aspects of the Programme is working out what you want to do next. I mean really want to do. This is very different from what your head and others will tell you. This is a heart decision. It is about uncovering your passions and interests. Then it is figuring out how you can turn these into your life’s work.
You also will get to understand how recruiters work and think and how you can manipulate the advertised job market to your advantage. That is not to say you will do anything underhand or unethical. By knowing how recruiters think and work, you will understand how to ensure your CV attracts their attention.
You will learn how to prepare for an interview. You will know how to answer those challenging questions – because you will have practised answering them beforehand. You will understand which jobs you should go for and those you should ignore.
The Hidden Job Market
Interestingly, the advertised and recruitment agency sectors of the market only comprise around 30% of the job market. Some commentators reckon it is even lower. This means that +70% of jobs never see the light of day. This is called the Hidden Job Market. You will learn how to access this sector of the job market.
Using the tools you will learn on this Programme, you will quickly master the advertised job market. I promise you, it isn’t that difficult. The problem is that the positions advertised may not align with what you want to do. You cannot change the role the advertiser needs to fill. So, you have to fit yourself into the box they have created. That could be very uncomfortable for you!
Do you then compromise your future by accepting a role in a job that you are not in your heart of hearts, excited about? Instead of being wildly excited when you get the offer, you feel that heavy lump in your stomach. Sure, it is back to work and earning a salary. But at what cost to you?
I can show you exactly how to find a job about which you are passionate. A job that will have you jumping out of bed every morning to go to work. Can you imagine a job where the weekends come around too quickly?
The company at which you want to work will not even know they have a vacancy in the area you wish to work. They may never have even thought they needed someone in that area. They almost certainly have not written up a job description (you will write that up!) nor ever advertised the position. That is until they meet you. Then they realise they have a need. Because you are positioned as the perfect candidate, they don’t even consider looking for any other candidates.
Your race, gender, qualifications and experience – or lack thereof – is irrelevant.
You can also pretty well name your salary – within reason.
Q: Now that sounds like B..S..
I will show you exactly how to go about finding your dream role. I will take you through a step-by-step process of how to position yourself so that you will be close to being irresistible to almost any employer. It is a process that I have used personally and helped many folks successfully implement.
Q: OK. I am still sceptical
I can understand that. You will, however, have to buy the Programme to see how simple it is to implement. Of course, it does require that you have the skills and competencies to fulfil your dream job. You also have to be realistic. You may be passionate about being an astronaut. But the challenges you would have to overcome and unless you met highly specific requirements would be almost insurmountable. There is, of course, another way. You could make enough money to buy a ticket on Virgin Galactic and you would achieve your dream – even if it was only for a short time!
You will get all the “know-how” and expertise on this Programme, as well as letter and proposal templates to win your dream job.
Perhaps my story will convince you that this approach works
Deloitte's did not know they needed and wanted an Executive Placement business. That was until they met me. I showed them how I could add value to their business - internally and externally. How I could increase their profits and reduce their own recruiting costs. They bought my idea and bought me.
I grew the business, I proposed starting, to over 200 people and it was highly profitable. It grew to become the largest recruitment operation in South Africa.
I was rewarded by being made a Partner in the SA Practice. I was one of only two non-CA Partners in the Practice.
I can teach you how to do the same thing with your career!
Q:Does it matter what industry sector I last worked in?
No. The principles detailed in the Programme work across any sector and discipline. Again within reason. It would be very difficult to move from fashion design to motor vehicle manufacturing. It would not be impossible but it would probably mean that you would probably need additional qualifications. There is perhaps another way if you look at it creatively. Victoria Beckham played a role in the design of the interior of the Land Rover Evoque. Could you perhaps position yourself in a similar role?
Q: Speaking of qualifications, I don’t have one. Does this matter?
No. Unless the role you are targeting demands a qualification. It would be difficult to move into a legal or accounting practice without the necessary qualifications. If a move such as this was your passion and you could back that up with the drive to gain a qualification, you could effect this change.
Q: I hate my current job but I am still employed. The difficulty in finding a new job has prevented me from resigning. Should I quit my current job and take on the Programme?
Generally speaking no. Being unemployed creates a huge amount of stress in you. There is no time limit, except the ones you impose on yourself. You could easily start working on the Programme during your lunch hour, after work and over weekends. Once you have completed the Programme you can then start looking for a new role. It may take you a little longer but I would never recommend that you give up your current job until you have accepted a new position.
Q: I am not sure I can afford to spend this kind of money on a training course. Even to find a new job
Think of this as an investment in your future. Once you have learned these valuable life-skills, you will never worry about being retrenched again. You will know how to find a job - now and in the future. Not sure if I mentioned this yet, but your investment provides you with lifetime access to the Programme.
There is another way of looking at this investment. If you were on a package of R100 000 per month in your last role, if you take 6 months to find a new job, you will be R600 000 plus all your living costs out of pocket. If your living costs amount to R80 000 per month, you will be R1 080 000 worse off. Every month you are out of work, the situation worsens by R180 000.
On average, it is taking an untrained job seeker, one month of job search time for every R80 000 of annual salary being sought. So if your last package was R1 200 000, you could reasonably expect to take 15 months to find a new job.
If you find a job in 4-months, you will have saved 11 months by R180 000. This amounts to just under R2.0 million.
The investment in this course pales into insignificance! You also get a money-back guarantee!
In fact, I am so confident that this material works, that if you were in a situation similar to the one I have described above, I will personally train you and split the savings!
Q: I have decided that I never want to return to corporate again. Would your Programme help me?
Yes. I fully understand why you would not wish to return to a corporate environment. There will be others who will find it very difficult to return to corporate – especially those of 55 or older.
To this end, we provide a comprehensive guide to starting an entrepreneurial business. This guide is not a typical textbook guide. It is based on the experience I gained in starting several businesses.
The approach is a risk and reward approach and is designed to preserve your capital for as long as possible. It is a highly pragmatic approach – also designed to help you start a business around your passions.
It is also designed to make sure your business is one of the 10% that succeed in the first year.
Q: You say you offer an unconditional guarantee on the Programme. Does that mean I can get a refund if it does not work?
I give a full guarantee on the Programme. I know it works. If you do the work – and it does require hard work and discipline – you will get a new job. If you only follow the advertised/agency route, it may not be your dream job. You will still find employment.
To get your dream job, you will have to work considerably harder. The choice is yours.
If you have done the work detailed in this Programme and you cannot find a job, by all means, you can have your money back.
If you think the concepts presented in this Programme will not work for you, please ask for a refund. I certainly do not want unhappy customers.

Q: I am not sure I have the time or inclination to do all this work

If this is the case, please do not sign up. I make no bones about the fact that you will have to work hard on this Programme. If you are unable or unwilling to commit to doing this work, then you should not be enrolling.

What you Will Learn
If you have been retrenched or fired, I am sure you are experiencing feelings of disbelief, anger, confusion, shock and fear. Even if you lost your job a while ago, you are still likely to feel residual levels of anger. The first aspect of the Programme focuses on dealing with these feelings and getting you into a more positive frame of mind.
Finding a job in this market is tough. It is even tougher when you are angry and bitter!
We then take a look at your financial position. How much cash do you have against your monthly expenditure? How long can you last? What changes can you effect to make your cash last longer?
The next section is important. In this section, you will start to explore your real interests and passions. The challenge for you is whether you can make your interests and passions part of your next job.
Yip. I know what your head says. But what does your heart say to such a concept? Let me put it this way. I would be very disappointed if you settled for just any job. I want you to find the job of your dreams. A job that fully extends you, that provides you with ongoing stimulation and challenge. This is my most sincere hope for you!
The job market is not quite what it seems to an untrained observer. There is far more to finding a job than approaching a friendly recruiter or responding to an advert. You will learn how to access the Hidden Job Market. This is where over 70% of positions are filled.
Understanding job competencies is one of the keys to getting hired. In this section, you will learn how to ethically Gain the Unfair Advantage over other job seekers by using competencies.
Do you know what should and should not go into a CV? Most folks get this horribly wrong. When a recruiter looks at CVs in response to an advert, it is not surprising that most end up on the scrap heap.
Have you ever considered that you may need more than one CV? In this section, you will gain an understanding of how to use your CV to attract the attention of any recruiter looking to fill a position.
Do you know where to find advertised jobs? In this section, we cover the major job boards, the role of agencies and executive search firms and how you should approach these players in your job search.
Do you have any idea how to prepare for that critical interview? Are you able to anticipate the questions a recruiter will ask you? You certainly should be able to do so and you should have practised your answers with a trusted advisor. Before you even walk into an interview, you should know almost to a word the questions you will be asked. Can you imagine the difference between a candidate who can confidently answer any question because they are prepared versus a candidate who bumbles his or her way through an interview? Guess who gets the job?
We spend some time on reference checking. This is important. A poor reference can torpedo your job search at the last hurdle. Again, you will learn how to ethically manage this process to your advantage. You will also learn how and what you can negotiate in a job offer.
You now are in a position to tackle the advertised job market. The knowledge you have gained will place you way ahead of most job seekers. You now have the Unfair Advantage!

Now comes the exciting stuff!
The advertised job market forces you to align yourself with the advertiser's requirements. Your skills and experience need to be aligned with the advertiser's needs. What happens if you do not wish for that alignment? If you want something different?
You will now embark on a journey of self-discovery. One where you will learn to market yourself into roles that align with your strengths and passions. Where the work interests you and challenges you.
The approaches and the tools you will learn are unique to this Programme. You will not learn them anywhere else. I have developed the know-how, the tools and the templates to enable you to access almost any job (within your skill and competency base), in any sector, anywhere in the world.
My clients who embrace this approach are more successful than any other job seekers. Their success rate is over 80%. You too will enjoy similar success rates if you follow this approach.
Finally, for those who decide that they do not wish to return to the corporate sector, there is a special section for you. How to Start an Entrepreneurial Business. Let's face it, anyone can start a business. The problem is that over 90% of start-ups fail in the first year. With that failure goes your capital, life-savings and often your home, car and other possessions.
I have started several businesses. I have made mistakes and have had successes. I will share these with you and work through a plan to ensure your start-up is one of the 10% that make it through the first year. And, many years thereafter.
This a highly pragmatic approach. But, like everything else on this Programme, it works.
If you have lost your job or are unhappy in your current job, this Programme is for you The longer you wait, the more your confidence and self-image become eroded. Lack of confidence and self-esteem will make finding a new job even more difficult.
Every month that passes, erodes your financial position further.
You need to do something different. You need to do it now!

The Best Investment you will ever Make

Have you worked out how much it is costing you to be unemployed?

Let's say you were earning R100 000/month. If it takes you nine months - and this is highly conservative - to find a new job, the direct cost of of your unemployment is R900 000. In addition, your living costs continue. If your living costs - your bond, utilities and rates, car, insurances, school fees, domestic help food costs all continue. If these amounted to R80 000 per month, you are in negative cash flow situation of R180 000 per month.

This is just your direct cost. The cost of losing your home, your car, taking your kids out of school etc. is way higher.

The cost of this Programme pales into insignificance when compared with these costs.

If you found a job inside 4-months, your savings would amount to R900 000

You will not get a better return on any other investment.

Can you afford not to get the unfair advantage?

It is a completely risk free investment. If you tell me that after completing this Programme that you have not gained an advantage over others in the job market, you get your money back.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the course start and finish?
You will get access to the Programme as soon as you enrol and pay the course fee. You can start working today. You will probably not need the material again in your life. Once you understand the principles of job search, you will never be trapped in a job you hate or fear retrenchment. If you need to refresh your memory or access any of the templates, you will always be able to do so. You have access to this Programme whenever you need it.
What if I am unhappy with the course?
We would never want you to be unhappy! If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, contact us in the first 30 days and we will give you a full refund.
You have answered most of my questions. I still have a couple of issues I would like to clarify. May I contact you to resolve these questions?
Certainly. Please mail me on [email protected]. Please leave all your contact details and I will get back to you
When is the best time of the year to do this course? I have experienced that December and Easter are terrible times to look for a job in South Africa
It really does not matter. Sure, many people are away over Christmas and Easter. Your search is less about the advertised job market. This does stagnate over Christmas and Easter. Having said that, many of my recruitment businesses have had their best months in December and January. Where this Programme is different is that we seek to reduce your dependency on the advertised job market. It is about creating new and exciting openings for yourself. This can be done anywhere and at any time. You may have to wait for people to return from their annual holidays but you will still have plenty of work to do. The sooner you get stuck in and go through the Programme the better off you will be. You will also feel a great deal better about yourself over the festive season!
I do not live in South Africa. From what I have seen, the Programme seems to cater for the South African job market. Is this true? Living in the UK, would it wo
You are correct. I am South African and I understand the SA job market better than most other markets. However, I have worked in recruitment across the world. One of the key learnings for me was that all markets work in a similar fashion. The recruiters do not have enough quality candidates and candidates are hugely frustrated by their lack of success in the advertised sector of the market. The principles you will learn on this Programme work anywhere. You may need to tailor some of the examples to your specific markets, but the process works just as well in London, Vancouver, Sydney or Los Angelos.

Special Launch Price

Save R1 500 on the regular price.

As a special launch offer, the price of this Programme has been reduced to R13 500. This offer will only be valid until the end of December 2019

I know times are tough for you right now. I understand that cash preservation is one of the few things over which you have control.

But if you don't do something different, your situation is only going to get worse. You need to stop hoping that something will change. If you do not take immediate steps to change your approach to job search, you will keep banging your head against the wall.

You have the opportunity to make a risk free investment in your life, your career and in your job. This Programme will make a difference to you.

If you do only one thing today, make the decision to invest in your future.
